The new Cindy Lass Needlepoint logo

In recent years, a boom in knitting was fueled by celebrity fans including Kate Moss and Julia Roberts pledging their love for the relaxing hobby.

Now, it seems the latest trend is needlepoint, a form of embroidery that uses X-shaped stitches to form a picture – and it is here to stay, as it rapidly re-establishes itself as “the go to” hobbie for 25-35 year olds.

I was asked 2o years ago to give my artwork on greeting cards around the world but I didn’t want to, but something about needlepoint engaged me, so I would like to share my paintings and my journey with everyone in this new wonderful way. Connecting through colour, I wanted to find a way to raise our awareness and vibration by taking us back into our hearts through colour and joy and allow people to connect in this way

In this non-stop, electronic world we live in, it’s true -we ARE it would seem “connected”. However, we think too much in our heads and these communication devices in fact “disconnect” us from one another and from ourselves. Our heart is where our passion is and our feelings –we need to go back there… we need this energy in our heart to beat with those around us.

Cindy Lass Needlepoint will be selling her exclusive needlepoint kits for the first time at the Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace, London N22 7AY on the 11th to the 15th of October 2017.

Please use the code CIN17 and you will get a special discount for tickets to the show.

We look forward to seeing you at our stand which is TG116,

I created and curated “All Our Hearts Beat As One” Exhibition (link)  and Cindy Lass Needlepoint is for me, the next step.  I am a self-taught artist.  My art is my passion, and now it’s time to share this with you. I have chosen 7 of my favourite paintings for the launch of Cindy Lass Needlepoint. I hope you enjoy stitching and creating the designs as much as I enjoyed painting them. Each has its own story, each has its own energy…You really do not need any special skills to make my kits! Just the intent to take time out for yourself and connect to your heart for a moment in time.
I sell to complete beginners and experienced stitchers alike. My goal is for our hearts to beat as one – to use our heartbeats together to change the world!
Stitch from the Heart x
* Please note these are needlepoint KITS, not finished pictures or cushions. My kits contain either a colour printed canvas or a coloured chart from which to count the design onto plain canvas.

Exhibiting at Museum of Tolerance, Los Angeles

I am delighted to tell you that my painting Anne Had No Time To Blossom…Everyone Has The Right To Blossom” has moved from The Anne Frank House Amsterdam to The Anne Frank Exhibit at the Museum of Tolerance Los Angeles.
Anne could see a chestnut tree through the only window that wasn’t blacked out in the attic. In an entry dated Feb. 23, 1944, she wrote,
Nearly every morning I go to the attic to blow the stuffy air out of my lungs,
from my favorite spot on the floor I look up at the blue sky and the bare chestnut tree,
on whose branches little raindrops shine, appearing like silver, and at the seagulls and
other birds as they glide on the wind. As long as this exists, I thought, and I may live to see it,
this sunshine, the cloudless skies, while this lasts I cannot be unhappy.”
Anne Frank died aged 15 after hiding from her persecutors for 2 years, enclosed in a secret attic, where this beautiful chestnut tree was her only link with nature. In her all too short life, she realised how hatred of others because of racial differences was the root of so much needless destruction. Alas, Anne was never given time to blossom because she was Jewish, and still today in the world we are confronted by so many children not given time to blossom because of intolerance and violent hatred.
“… And the sun was shining as it’s never shone before in 1944. Our chestnut tree is in full bloom.
It’s covered with leaves and is even more beautiful than last year.”
Anne Frank , Diary of a Young Girl.

Eva Schloss and I presented this painting to the Anne Frank House Amsterdam on 3rd May 2010 fifty years to the day after Otto Frank opened the house to the public on 3rd May 1960. On August 23rd 2010 the chestnut tree in the painting fell down, and is now no longer, however the painting now exists for all to view

Thank you to the universe for giving me a gift to be able to connect to all that is. I was blown away by the A list celebrities who contributed such amazing art to ALL OUR HEARTS BEAT AS ONE, in such a generous, spirited and understanding way –we all need to change the way we live our lives so separately

Cindy Lass’ All Our Hearts Beat As One launch event was a truly phenomenal success! Over 55 celebrities including…

What began as a simple idea – to get a group of people together, evolved into a unique event hosted by Cindy Lass & Nikki Newman. The exhibition seeks to act as a reminder of the Quantum physics concept, that something doesn’t exist unless we observer it – and what Cindy Lass curated stimulated the conscious observer in all of us. Through the act of observing and recognising ourselves as one pumping heart feeding a single body of humanity – All Our Hearts Beat As One

I wanted to find a way to raise our awareness and vibration by taking us back into our hearts through colour and joy – and allow people to connect in this way. In this electronical world we live in – its true; we ARE all connected however we think too much in our heads – devices in fact disconnect us. Our heart is where our passion is, and our feelings – we need to go back there, we need this energy in our hearts to beat with those around us and this has driven me to create All Our Hearts Beat As One…”

This is just the beginning… open your hearts and trust…

In loving memory of my dear friend Henry Cumming, taken too soon 21.12.16.

It all begins by placing your hand on your heart…
It’s simple, try it please…
